Fly through a cloud in PI?
Posted by Mandyyjobs on July 2, 2006 at 3:03 pmI know when using 3D, it is good to map the avi onto a plane. But what if it is a flythrough a cloud where I don’t want the thinness of the plane to make the cloud seem like it is 2d?

July 3, 2006 at 4:10 pmYou’re probably not going to do this very well in pIllusion. You can try using one of the “into” emitters that seem to send particles toward you (like “into flames”, or something more cloud-based).
Alan.

July 4, 2006 at 3:26 amSome emitters have names like Into Smoke, Into Dust, Into fog, Into Snow…etc.
It means camera perspective in which the particles are coming directly at the camera. So you are going Into them.
