    I know when using 3D, it is good to map the avi onto a plane. But what if it is a flythrough a cloud where I don’t want the thinness of the plane to make the cloud seem like it is 2d?

    You’re probably not going to do this very well in pIllusion. You can try using one of the “into” emitters that seem to send particles toward you (like “into flames”, or something more cloud-based).

    Into Emitters? I am lost there…what do you mean?

    Some emitters have names like Into Smoke, Into Dust, Into fog, Into Snow…etc.

    It means camera perspective in which the particles are coming directly at the camera. So you are going Into them.

    With PI3, your still going to have trouble with that effect. However, check out Vue6 which is coming out later this year..
