Richard, thank you for the reply. I don’t have specific answers on your questions, sorry. I am trying to create a portable set up I can use for the same day editings (my first project is in July for the corporate event at Sheraton’s ballroom). Ideally, I don’t want to rely on the hotel’s sound system, running the long wires, etc… As of right now I have a projector and 90″ screen.

What do you mean “piracy”? Why do you assume so? Absurd! It’s really sad that for some people copy still = piracy. I am a Wedding videographer and have a client who asked for 3 copies of her Wedding Blu Ray DVDs.
P.S. I am sure that people who need “piracy advice” know how to copy BR even without your “advice”. -

“Disks that are based on dyes are going to be less durable than those stamped from a glass master.” What if my master DVD has a problem? I have no problem to burn another copy for the client, I just afraid that after a few years my backups could have same issues as my clients’ DVDs.
