im using vegas 4 so “active take information” doesnt exist in the view mode. ive looked for something that may be similar to no avail.

anyway, one last thing.

when i use the velocity envelope for the video and add several altering playback rate changes (points), how do i get the audio to match those changes accordingly? i.e get the audio to slow down/speed up in sync with the video as it is playing back.

cool. i think i got it now. just a few more questions….

is there a way to display the amount (between .25x and 4x) that you are resizing as you CTRL-resize events? for example, if i am CTRL-stretching an event i would like to see by how much, numerically (.25x-4x), i am/have stretched the event as it is happening.

hi jeditdv. thanks for responding so quickly. so i tried out holding down CTRL and resizing the event. that worked, but it only stretches it up to a certain point and doesnt lower/raise the pitch of the audio (which i want). i want to get it slower than that stretch limit. also, i tried using a velocity envelope, which works for the video but it leaves the audio in its original state, so essentially it becomes a slowmotion video with the audio playing normally, hence no syncing. how can i get the audio to match the changes made in the video’s velocity envelope? what i want my video to end up looking like is the way it plays when i simply load it up and adjust tha normal playback rate in the main window to .37 and play it. the video and audio are both slowed waaaay down automatically and in sync and the pitch of the audio is correspondingly lowered-all to the way i specifically want it to end up looking/sounding like. is there a way to save the video/audio in accordance with the the value of the normal playback rate in the main window and the way it plays back?
