    Hi John,

The method in my previous post should achieve what you want. Mark the section of the clip you want to copy with in + out points. Use alt + c to copy the selection to the source monitor (whichever tracks are selected will be copied). Now splice in or insert as normal (using red (B) or yellow (V) arrows) patching the source side tracks to the appropriate record side tracks i.e. V1 > V2

    Hope this helps
    Mike

I’ve experienced problems passing OMF from Avid to Nuendo. Nuendo would open the OMF but some (not many) of the clips in the timeline contained the wrong media. The sound designer I was working with solved it by opening the OMF in Pro-Tools and re-exporting it. You might find a workaround like this. HTH

Or, you can mark the clip in and out, select only the track you want to copy (say A1) ALT & C which will copy the selection to the source monitor. Then patch to the track you want to overwrite into (say A2) and use the ovewrwite button (red arrow). HTH

    Hi,

The easiest way to do what you’re talking about is to use MediaMover. You can download a fully-functional 30-day trial here: https://www.randomvideo.com/

If you move Avid projects a lot you’ll find the 150 bucks money well spent.

Otherwise you could use the media tool to identify all media for the project, or the console command “rename mediafiles” (I can’t quite remember the exact command) and select all the files related to the project. This is entering scary territory, especially if multiple projects are sharing media. I’d check media mover out.

    Hope this helps
