There is not much control over the way they play… no transitions etc… I suppose if the images are actually the frames of a movie that makes sense… anyway, appreciate your reply…

Ahhh… thanks, that works for the image length. I saw layer length and did not think of it for images… much appreciated.

As for #2, FCP X you drag a group of images to the timeline and they are all in a linear sequence with each as long as the default setting. It is very easy.

Hmmmm… weird… today when I open the exact same images they look fine. Yesterday they were way off and I did nothing but close FCPX last night and launch it this morning… oh well, problem solved… thanks for the reply

That did the trick. Deleted the file, put the serial number in again, now the apps just launch as expected. Much appreciated. Never would have figured that out without some help! These forums are so useful!!
