May 9, 2013 at 7:21 pm in reply to: Disparity in Numerical RGB Coordinates in Log Mode when using Mouse Versus TrackballI considered that and even discussed it with tech support, but the trackball sensitivities only affect speed, not position.
The point itself should be uniform whether I arrive via trackball, mouse or pen tablet.

March 31, 2013 at 6:53 pm in reply to: Conforming in Resolve: Inaccurate EDL Recognition[QUOTE]this is not really a “Resolve conform issue.” [QUOTE/]
I put the exact same EDL into Smoke and it conformed the entire project 100% perfectly. There was not a single mismatch. Perfect!
If it isn’t really a Resolve conform issue, then how is this possible?
Thanks for your responses.

Any fix to this yet?

October 2, 2012 at 6:04 pm in reply to: Emergency! Lost Half GradeS, But Don’t Understand Why?Thanks for the tip. It’s turns out that that was the problem.
Basically, I just right clicked and selected Use Local Version and they all came back! I had created a second timeline from the edl that I was messing around with, which compromised the original timeline.
I went back and read the manual on the subject. I never realized that all clips were automatically linked in all timelines. So now I’ll have to always be sure to unlink them.
I don’t think most people realize this yet so I’ll be sure to spread the word.
Thanks again, Peter.

September 22, 2012 at 12:02 am in reply to: Sonnet Echo Express Thunderbolt PCIe Expansion now Available for MBP….Wait, I don’t understand. I thought that it specifically was a GPU Expander.
If it can host a Red Rocket, why not an Nvidia Quadro 4000?

What’s the point of it not having Dual monitor support? This only complicated things now.

March 19, 2012 at 11:44 pm in reply to: iMac 27″ or MBP 17″ for student learning Resolve Lite?Oh really? I like the sound of that… any suggestions?
I’m sick of feeling beholden to Apple. They make great products, but there is always a catch. I think this year will really reveal if Apple intends to stay with the professional market or not. For this reason, I’m glad that I haven’t fully invested myself in the Apple platform as of yet.
With PCs, I can work with Adobe, Avid and now Resolve…

[Mike Most] “There is no “uncertainty” with regard to NVidia GPU cards with the Mac Pro. Using NVidia’s latest drivers, all NVidia cards work just fine, including cards like the GTX580 series that were previously PC-only.
“This is true, external chassises such as Cubix work well with Resolve on Mac Pros.
I was referring to iMacs and MBPs. As of yet, it is not known if Apple will employ NVidia cards and or support in any upcoming products. Even if they did, there is no indication that you could use them with iMacs or MBPs. Just think if we could add a Cubix to a MBP… who would need a Mac Pro ever again?
Also, Thunderbolt is somehow incapable of interfacing with such external chassises, which is something I still don’t understand the reason for… is it an intentional design to keep competition at bay, or is their a limited system architecture that prevents it?
