  • How to Set Dual Monitor Display on DaVinci Resolve 9 Beta?

Posted by Desmond Ford on August 3, 2012 at 9:48 pm

I can’t get the new Resolve 9.0 Beta to do dual monitor support. I can move the scopes over to my third monitor, but not the display window to my second, 24″ monitor…

I’m using a Retina MBP15″ with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD as a base station connected with HDMI to a 24″ Asus PA248Q.

Is anyone else having this issue? If so, how do you get the display window over to the second monitor for Dual Support?

The resolve GUI works on a single screen. Only the pop out windows, like scopes, can be moved to second screens.

Unless of course you are on windows 7, where at least in Resolve8 you could float the window and span it over the dual monitor setup. Doesn’t work as well in Resolve 9 though

Wasn’t this one of the key features for Resolve 9?
    I read that somewhere?

I really wish they’d open the interface up for a little more customization. I wouldn’t mind moving some of the windows around or shifting them to the second monitor.

    Uh… improvement?

What’s the point of it not having Dual monitor support? This only complicated things now.
