    Thanks Michael. I am still unclear about the Input Gain slider in Audio Project settings. What I really wish to do is to control the levels for which audio is captured (rather than fix it later using Audio Mix). If this slider does not control this, what function does it serve?

    OK, correction here. It does have both audio tracks when I place the clip into the timeline, but it does NOT when played in the Source window. Weird. Why is that?

    By the way, it DOES show the realtime effect when I play with the Digital Video Out button toggled off, but it disappears when I stop playing and the image is in pause. In the past, when in pause it would always show the realtime effect (or the clip without the effect instead of black for non-realtime effects) regardless of Digital Video Out.
