Using XPress Pro 4.6, I am practicing with Unlinking, Modifying, and Relinking a clip. I have taken a master clip, Unlinked it, then Modified it so that it has only one audio track rather than the two it was captured with. Then I Relink it, and sure enough, it plays with only the one audio track.

But trying to get back to two audio tracks, I then Unlink again, Modify it back to the two audio tracks, and Relink, but it still only plays with the one audio track. Strangely, when I delete the media and Back Capture the master clip again, making sure that both audio tracks are selected, it still only plays back with the one audio track. It does this despite the fact that the bin shows the clip as having both.

What am I doing wrong so that in the future I will know how to Unlink, Modify, Relink, and then Modify back if need be?

OK, correction here. It does have both audio tracks when I place the clip into the timeline, but it does NOT when played in the Source window. Weird. Why is that?

When you play it in the source window i presume you are seeing A1 and A2 next to the track tabs, indicating that you have two source tracks.

If so there is a toggle at the back of the A1 and A2 box that selects to listen to it in the source window or not, my thinking is that one is not selected when you are listening in the source window.

    Hope that helps
