Of course I’ve looked into the advantages in upgrading and here’s my findings:
CS6 / New

I OWN it, it will NEVER stop working (Unless newer versions of Windows won’t support it) / don’t see how ANYTHING could EVER beat OWNING a product.

It’s already paid for in FULL / I don’t OWN it, I’m JUST renting it and they can gate keep as much as they want, for example FORCING disgusting terms on you JUST to use it (Speaking of, they now have the right to use ANYTHING you make to train their AI models, NOT giving THEM the rights to use MY HARD WORK, they BETTER PAY me in that case).

Please tell me if I should expand on this, I have a few more points to go through if that’s the case 😛

Alright.

I’d rather render animated SVG to be fully honest, but I haven’t found any encoders/transcoders/renderers/converters/whatever that can do that 🙁

Think I found 1 or 2 actually, but there was something wrong with it, probably didn’t have alpha, sound or something like

H.264 can’t do alpha which is 2 3rds of what I render, and also Shutter encoder can do VP8 and VP9 webm with alpha as well, case in point:

You actually can, I installed quicktime and BAM… it was available in the options right after launching, no probs… So it is possible.

Going over to using another program though, that’s why I’m here, I wanna cut down on render time, adding another software to the mix just slows the process down, since first I have to wait for hours for the first render from AE, then another like hour to convert it to something else…

I already use Shutter Encoder since that can do everything to everything WITH alpha, but yeah, if I can remove that hour of rendering on top of the main one, that’s why I’m here 😛

I did say: “Not using the Keyframe assistant”, which is where Convert Audio To Keyframes is… So I already knew about that… and Soundkeys does NOT come with AE, nor is it free, so that doesn’t count just because of that, it also doesn’t count on the fact that it-self can’t be used to like make a waveform, spectrum, plane or whatever, it’s just a glorified “convert to keyframes”…
