Like Mark said, doing it yourself is pretty easy. Just layer some circles, blurry colored backgrounds, etc, throw some light changes on it over 10-15 seconds but starting and ending in exactly the same place (so 5-7 secs going and 5-7 seconds coming back to the start). Then lay them end to end forever. This may be too general for you so you may still want to contact Mark.

Good game. Bad announcing by ABC. I wish the Seahawks hadn’t cut their offense off with penalties.
My friends in and from Pittsburgh are happy.Faves: Michelob Amber touch football, Bud Light bear and sheep, Ford Escape green (you gotta love Kermit) and Full Throttle (some great hardware on the street).
Disliked: Escalade, Honda Ridgeline (a fwd pickup with mudflaps?), Pizza Hut, Burger King.Nice try to Degree but a little too far over the top. I would have hated the Jerome Bettis Asthma spot had it not been for Asthma sufferers and I guess that’s why they could rip the Mean Joe Green spot and still get me to feel good.
A lot of hard work from the editors/compositors on many spots but they can only edit what they’re given. A bad concept still ends up like a gold leafed meadow muffin.

All you need to do is create your wonderfully creative photoshop files, then create alpha channels for the entire composition. Or you might want to create an alpha for each individual layer and save them individually like “Great art” for the entire comp., then “Great art 1” for the top layer, “Great art 2” for the 2nd layer and so on. Richard Harrington’s book Photoshop for Nonlinear Editors would help, as would the software from Tools for Television Pro from Glen Stephens, which I use every day to make alpha channels. These files can be psd or tif (or pict or tga if you like) and the alphas will cut the hole for the photoshop fill. If you size your composition to be twice the size of your project’s resolution then zooming or moving the layers doesn’t lose sharpness (After Effects has done this for years but I do in on my NLE).This may be an oversimplified explanation but I HTH.

Since you can’t get a dual monitor, you might try a 16×9 format LCD monitor. Viewsonic makes the VP2031wb, which max resolution is 1920×1200. You would be ready for HD and have a good wide screen for your windows on a single card.

PBS shows (and APT as well) require 20 seconds of slate. The first ten are program info as described above and any program segment lengths. The last ten seconds have a countdown clock with audio at 0 reference (-20 digital) for 20 frames, then -20db (-40 digital) for ten frames for each second. They go to back after 8secs 8 frames. I have built this on my NLE and import the clips and use the text module to fill in the blanks.
For live shows in our studio we use the character generator’s countdown clock function. For some satellite feeds of live programs we use the same function for longer countdown clocks (like a 2:00 local insertion) so the time to next segment is visible on the satellite feed.

Makes sense to me since the JH3 was designed as a “viewing machine” analogous to the BVW-25 back in the day. Recording in analog from a digital machine in record is not good quality control.

You might check with WTVD or WRAL in the market. Their production managers probably have a freelancer list. Also ProductionHub.com or crewscontrol.com could assist.

Are you sending the video from the deck in rgb? I’m not familiar with DVC ProHD decks but the problem could be in transcoding to the LCD and not the monitor itself.It is also possible that the LCD monitor has an enhancement feature turned on and it should not be. It creates that “ringing” in transitions from light to dark.
These are two items to consider. HTH
