35 gigs of space available on how large of a drive?

What kind of a drive is it? Internal, external, boot drive?

Also, what version of QT and the OS are you running? Have you done any updates lately to either of those?

Please report back with more detail. There are several ideas that ocme to mind, but without more info, it’s tought to narrow it down.

Oops, I messed up the file name somehow….it should read “< Project Name > 5_01-16-07_1912″

Are they named things like “ 5_01-16-07_1912″?.

Then yes, it is liekly you have hit the maximum number of auto saves in the Autosave Vault. It’s kicking out the oldest ones to make room for the newest.

This is a User Preference that can be changed. I’m rendering at the moment, so I can’t look to tell you precisely where to find the settings for that.

    Found it!

“Open Image Sequence” is right there in File Menu!

I don’t have an image sequence to open to test the workflow on the export/save end of this, but you should be able to figure it out!

You can also compile an image sequence into a .mov in QuickTime Pro. I haven’t done it in awhile, but I think it’s found in the Import menu (if not, try the options under Open). After you import it, you can Save As, I believe (it may be under Export…check both)

Sorry I can’t be more exact. I’m rendering!

I don’t have any issues with this.

The more the merrier, I always say! (unless it’s date night, of course!)

I completely agree with you, Marco.

That’s why I suggested using a regular ol’ TV.

You still will need some sort of external audio and video monitoring. FCP is designed to work in concert with external audio and video monitors. You will not see full quality on the Canvas when you are editing. Full quality is going out the FW port or through the I/O card, should you be so equipped.

In a pinch, a TV will do.

Check the manual for proper set up of FCP as a system.
