Dropped Frames in Final Cut Pro 4.5
I am having trouble with dropped frames in FCP 4.5. The screen freezes during the first 14 minutes of the capture then suddenly starts to move normally. I have used this program for about a year until now with no problems. I recently re-installed the program but that didnt help. I have checked all the settings over and over and I must be missing something. My machine is G3 and I have 35 gigs of harddrive space available. Im using a Sony camera with firewire. Any suggestions or questions will be welcomed.

35 gigs of space available on how large of a drive?
What kind of a drive is it? Internal, external, boot drive?
Also, what version of QT and the OS are you running? Have you done any updates lately to either of those?
Please report back with more detail. There are several ideas that ocme to mind, but without more info, it’s tought to narrow it down.
