Nope, no client other than myself. No RED either.

Thanks for the advice… I think I’ll give it a go!

I just bought the BMCC camera so I need to upgrade to Resolve 9 – which means I need to upgrade to at least Lion/Mountain Lion.

For some crazy reason it takes 1-3 business days for Apple to email me the Mountain Lion unlock code.

As far as Mavericks is concerned – yeah, I just read a bunch of posts scaring me off of that.

So I guess I just need to sit around and wait for Apple to send me the code… which it causing a time crunch.

Oh, well. I can’t see any other options at the moment.

Thanks for all the help 🙂

I bought Mountain Lion but for some crazy reason I will not receive the download code for up to 3 business days – So I might be Wednesday before I get it.

What about Mavericks? Anyone have any idea if that is working for all the peripheral software with Resolve yet?

Ah Cool. The “add to cart” five minutes before I went to sleep threw me a little 🙂 For some reason thought it meant shipping.

Thanks, saved me a trip to the Mac Store!

The way you are suggesting might be a good idea. At least I’ll be able to “revert” if I run into problems. And actually at the moment I really only need Resolve 9 or 10 up and running so I can start figuring out the BMCC workflow – I’ll be using the camera next week.

I have the NVIDIA GeForce GT120 and the NVIDIA Quadro 4000

I looked for Mountain Lion at Apple but could not find it. I did find a DVD for $19.95. I’ll call in the morning to see if there is still a download.

This will be painful, but it will feel good to have everything up to date.

Any idea if the Ultra scope will work on a $350 dollar (new) PC laptop? There are a lot of PC laptops around these day for that price.

Also do new PCs come with thunderbolt, or is thunderbolt a Mac thing?

LOL thanks for straightening me out guys. I wasn’t seeing the forest for the trees.

Of course mm is a length and doesn’t change – lost sight of that with the the “equivalent” stuff.

    I get it now 🙂

    DOH!!!!!
