    Hi Jason
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I’m trying to add information which will show up in the description or comments field so that at a later date it can be searched. However making an entry in the description field of QT7 as you described does not show up in FCP. The field remains empty….

    Thanks Jerry
    Just gave it a go…
It seems to be designed with itunes in mind, with lots of columns like “rating”, and none that match FCP except for “description”, so I entered some text in that one. Imported the file to FCP and…. no text 🙁
So worth a try, and appreciate your suggestion, but on this occasion no success…!

    Other ideas welcome… 🙂

Yes, that will be really useful when they’ve fixed FCPX!
In the meantime looks like its off to AE…. 😉

    I’ve got FCS2 so I’m still on Motion 3….
We’ve got 15 edit suites so tend not to upgrade until we need to, and the difference between FCS2 & 3 didn’t seem worth it as many suites were still running G5’s. I was holding out for FCS4… but instead we got FCPX… which has nice features, but useless in our broadcast enviroment.
So thought I’d checkout Motion 5… Oh well!

Golly that’s a bit rubbish it’s it Mark!!!
Please I tried it out on one machine before impulse buying for the other 14! LOL

Any work arounds that you know of? I’m just installing Popcorn Island so I can ship from FCP to AE…

    Hi Chris
Yeah I’m still on Snow Leopard. 8 core mac with 8GB ram, and ATI Radeon 5770. All fairly standard. Also outputing to Beta.

    Thanks for the reply Walter.
Yes the lastest Kona driver is for CS5.5 but I installed the one for CS5 – version: “AJA Mac Plug-ins for Adobe CS5 Version 8.5”
As the driver and CS version were the same I was suprised not to get a picture on the external display…..?!
Wondered if anyone had that combination working?

    Interesting….
I’m running FCS2 and CS5 together… and I’d already installed the recomended codec and switched the Premiere preferences, but don’t get an SDI output from the Kona card…?
