So long as it doesn’t exceed 100 IRE you’re fine… There are no legal limits for skin tone, the numbers you’re referring to are simply guidelines.

I hate to admit it, I’ve see the term used for years in other apps, but I never knew the term, and therefore if I had any use for an extension.

You could always lock picture before color grading, which in all honesty is the ONLY way you will ever be 100% satisfied when moving between applications.

FYI, this was discussed at length at Wednesday’s LACPUG meeting, and the gurus all agreed that NONE of the apps have good enough XML fidelity to handle seamless movement between apps. And, that’s especially true of trying to “round trip” back to the original application.

Might I make a recommendation?

I have ceased to deliver DVDs completely (unless pressured otherwise of course), instead giving my clients inexpensive thumb drives, which you can buy all over these days for almost nothing. You can even get them in bulk with your company name or your personal contact info printed on them.

If you do the math, the cost is substantially less than whatever your labor charge might be for DVD creation, and you’re giving your clients far more convenience and better quality for their money.

I deliver the client’s master, a download web version, a web streaming version, and YouTube or Vimeo embed links if they need that. My clients were at first concerned, but now they love it…

Before starting over, first try using the Render Manager to delete all the render files for that project. Then re-render.

It’s so easy if you simply purchase a decent USB mic – a Blue Snowball that many use is only $99. Analog mics are certainly useable through your I/O card, but that often requires supplying a video signal as well to supply sync. It’s a pain compared to going the USB mic route.
