Media Manager puts all files into a single folder on the new drive… it does not copy a hierarchy of directories with the media files in those directories. That being said, if your files have legit reel numbers and timecode, relinking is easy.
FYI, the technique to use is:
1) select the sequences in the FCP Browser and/or Bins that contain the media you’d like to copy to a new project on a target hard drive.2) open Media Manager
3) Choose the Copy function NOT the Move function
4) set the target drive in the drop down
5) uncheck the boxes regarding setting handles and using only the portions of clips used, etc.
6) go for it… it’s non-destructive, it it doesn’t work as expected just delete the files and directory on the target drive and try again with different parameters.

The more powerful the server the better… So, depending on your transcoding needs, a Mac Mini may not be your best choice.

Change your sequence settings… First change Editing Mode to DNXHD, then change Preview File Fornat to one if the DNX options. The defaults, i.e. DSLR and MPEG I-frame are shredding your still image quality.

Not nearly enough info in your post, but check free space on ALL your hard drives… there should be 10 to 20% free space on all drives, including system drive and media drives.
In the future you really need to mention the specs of the video you’re editing, sequence settings, and specs of your hardware…

What you are seeing is “video fields” being displayed, which really should not be happening, since your source files were stills and your finished video in theory “progressive” (i.e. no fields). For the record, a fields mismatch will not show itself on a computer monitor, but mismatched fields will reveal themselves on a true video monitor or TV, hence one of the reasons why professional editors who deliver for broadcast, DVD, etc. always do their their online finishing and QC on a true broadcast monitor, or at the very least, a calibrated TV.
In any case, you have a few issues I’ve spotted that may or may not be related to the fields issues, and I suspect that somewhere in your workflow may have introduced interlacing. It’s too complicated to deal with messaging back and forth, so call me and I’ll be happy to help you. My number is three 10-729-seven nine 06 (Pacific time zone).
