It want Adobe’s fault David, it was actually the fault of Nexidia, the 3rd party vendor who never improved the accuracy of their voice to text engine as promised.

Learn basic color correction first using the color wheels, once you’ve mastered that then learn more if you need it. Don’t get mesmerized by all the bells and whistles.

    Hey Chris!

Were you able to install all the FCP updates after the initial install? And, did you do all the OS updates after that install?

I know El Cap does work, cuz I had it working when last I used FCP.

December 9, 2017 at 8:28 pm in reply to: Save project settings as presets?

It’s the same with every NLE. You save a project that contains all your favorite settings, and you open that and do a “save as” every time you start a new project.

  • Try cloning to a different drive, perhaps it will build a new recovery partition? That’s the best idea I’ve got.

  • Hey Shane, isn’t that the tutorial you created to intentionally trip up people who specifically ask for you NOT to help?

  • Just razor blade the clip into two separate clips, do your effect on the part you want to change and not the other.

  • You have to have 10% free space on ALL hard drives, period, end of story. Computers use hard drives to write temp files when there’s not enough RAM to handle various file caching chores, and you’re not letting that happen.

October 15, 2017 at 3:29 pm in reply to: Formatting an old DVD using CS5.5.2

It should not actually be displayed 4×3, it’s really 4×3 anamorphic or widescreen, thus you should be encoding to the PAL full screen aspect ration of 720×576 (with non/square pixels I think).
