AJA, please remember us. HDV and HD compressed clips can be used with Prospect HD and the AJA Xena HD card (under PPro 1.5 or 2.0.) See https://www.cineform.com/products/ProspectHD.htm for details.
A soon-to-be released update to Prospect HD will allow the Xena LH/LHe to be used under Premiere Pro 2.0. The main issue being the driver version using by PPro2’s Xena support. A stock PPro2 uses only 5.2 drivers, when the LH requires 6.0 AJA drivers. Prospect HD under PPro2 can support either 5.2 or 6.0 AJA driver, so both cards are supported and accelerating through the CineForm Intermediate stuff. So the difference narrows and LH becomes a superset of the HS.
Yes, Prospect HD will have LH support soon (working in house — just a few tweaks to go.) The LH issue is only with PP2.0 native mode, which you will not need using Prospect HD.
Aspect HD 4.0 is required for Premire Pro 2.0 compatibility. Please read the FAQ on http://www.cineform.com for more information. AHD 4.0 was suppost to go live tonight but it looks like it will be tomorrow now.
For Vegas 6 CineForm worked with Sony to get even more performance out Sony’s video processing engine. Although the solution is quite different to the Adobe Premiere implementation, both offer real-time performance.
