HDV with Xena HS
Hi,
We’re looking into upgrading boxes and hardware to work more efficiently with the new Adobe Production Studio while positioning for the HD move (Xena HS cards are part of the equation at this point). Both Adobe and AJA mention that the card can work in uncompressed HD and SD, but the words HDV don’t ever show up. Anyone have any info on how Xena HS works with HDV (pardon my ignorance here)?Thanks

talked with AJA and got the info. No go on compressed formats.

True, true. Prospect will give you the best of both worlds…FW ingest of HDV and RT editing of Full Res HD for output via HDSDI…with a Xena HD….and I’d be surprised if it stayed restricted to only the “HD” model card for long…
