Resolve FX and third party FX plugins are not available in the Fusion page just yet but that will likely change in a later update. I think they are going to really intergrate Fusion into resolve but I hope this does not mean the standalone Fusion package will go the way of the horse and wagon.

I am new this to workflow so it was confusion on my part. I am still trying to get my head around this way of doing things.

I downloaded the update the day it came out. So far I am liking it in particular the Fusion page. Either this is a bug or something that I don’t understand but when I grade a clip and go to the Fusion page the clip shows up in its original state before it was graded. Any color grading is not showing up in the Fusion page. My guess this is to prevent grades from being baked in or there is some kind of bug. It would be nice to see what is going on when effects are applied to the graded footage in the Fusion page with the grade showing up.

The grade I did inside of Resolve is not reflected in the Fusion page. I do understand your earlier posts but wondering why any color grading is not reflected in the Fusion page. For example, a clip has a black and white grade applied yet this is not reflected in the Fusion page. It shows the clip in its original state. Is this to be expected? Is there a setting I am missing somewhere? Thank you.

This is very good news and worth looking into. No doubt NAB has been exciting this year. Just what other FCPX surprises are there?

It Ppears the stand alone version of Fusion will still exist, at least over the short term. For some reason you cannot have clips stacked on top of each other show up in the Fusion page. Granted, this is a beta version but it looks like a single clip instance scenario for now. I could be missing something or not have a firm understanding of how this works. Will any third part OFX such as Sapphire show up in the Fusion page? This still looks interesting and many questions remain.

As it stands now I really don’t see people quitting their CC subscription in mass numbers. Remember this new version is in beta and more work needs to be done. It is a step forward but is it in the right direction?

Of other interest Keyflow Pro 2.0 is available with a lower price of admission for single users.

An update on Monday? An announcement before NAB even starts? Apple loves to surprise us and be unconventional at times. Disappointed by the fact there is no role based mixer as others have discussed but will be updating regardless as new codec support is there. This update discussion is in the Trending Now section on Facebokok near the top of the list.

I get consistent crashes when importing a PSD file saved on the desktop which seems to be a common issue. Moving said file or saving it elsewhere solves the issue. Not sure why this is.

I have yet to meet anyone that uses the software. Feature films have been primarily edited in Final Cut Pro, Premiere or Avid from my understanding. I wonder what the numbers are for Lightworks which has not been mentioned recently. Another Curiosity would be Resolve Studio especially since the drop in price last year. The software looks fascinating but have yet to try it.
