    Thanks, Jeremy!

Forgive me, for I’m a newbie: What are “peaks”, exactly? How or why is it these peaks exist separately from the info on the VEG file?

    Thanks! DAVE

  • Thanks, James, but as it turns out, its my full composite I’m interested in keeping my eye on…

As I understand it, the Pan/Crop window only allows one to see the immediate Event/Layer one is working on. in this particular case, my masked object is just a boring generic Solid Color generated media… hard to guide by…

In my particular case here, I need to have my Mask (PAN/CROP window) line up precisely with other aspects of my entire composite (seen in the Preview), hence my OP question…

    Thanks, DAVE

  • Lekker! Baie dankie, Theo! Ek verstaan.

  • Thanks, John and Mike.

Now i’m curious to see if PHOTOSHOP can somehow animate its various Filter actions (proprietary and third-party)… ?

  • Thanks, Mike.

I see that my PSD layers will be added as “streams“. Yes, I do see the right-click menu on an event which designates Streams. (Stream 1, Stream 2, etc.)

Yet, for all my combing of the Helpfiles, I am not clear on what they mean by the word “Stream”.

    What is a “stream“….exactly…..within VEGAS PRO 9.0d?

    Thanks, D.

  • John, I’m not finding an ADD ACROSS TRACKS choice in any department…. where is it?

  • Well, that’s exactly what I needed to know. Thanks, John!

Not sure what the logic was here… File THAT one under, “What were they thinking?”

  • Well, you see, my problem has everything in the world to do with my damned videocam: it records audio in Dolby AC3 and video in MPEG-2.

To make everything more palatable for AE, I’ve been using a media converter which turns my video portion into h.264 and audio into PCM WAV (stereo, 44100). All wrapped up in a QT MOV.

And guess what? I’m still not getting any sound in my outputted renders! (Though I am getting sound in my RAM previews in the project space.)

Yes, I am clicking “Audio active” in my output modules.

Are you just about ready to see a grown man cry?

Once and for all, tell me what audio input format AE likes— and which it will ouput!— and I’ll shut up!

    Thanks, DAVE
