    Hi
    thanks for the feedback.

THE file I’m trying to import is a AVCHD file, the file converter I downloaded doesn’t support this type of file.
    Any ideas?

    Many thanks

Can anyone advise on this problem?

As I have said when I review MPeg4 files in encore I get the attached problem, band through the preview window. Other avi files preview ok.

    Your advice welcome

    Many thanks

    Hi Jeff,

There are only 3 disks in the box, have asked where “IF” the others are, seems since its been a long time since last used, they have got lost, or my friend thinks the files were downloaded, can’t remember.

Can I purchase these “Library files” from anywhere??? Contacted Adobe but they are useless….

    Regards

    Hi Jeff,

I think I may have resolved the problem, took my video file to a friends who has encore CS3 and loaded onto his PC. It worked, so assume I have a problem with my encore.
Seems time to buy a new Encore and Prem programs.
Haven’t yet built the DVD but assume it will work on my friends PC.

Thanks for you help and advice.

    Hi Jeff,

Did as you suggested, file was clean, but when I imported this into Encore and previewed, same problem yellow line down the middle.

Seems there must be a problem with encore this end.

    Back to the drawing board.

    Hi Jeff,

Yes the file from Prem is clean and works and displays fine.

I have uninstalled Encore and reloaded it again but still the same problem, were you able to see the screen shot I sent you?

    Regards

    Hi Jeff,

Hope you can review the embedded photo.
One onther issue regarding making the DVD I did tr this again today, and it failed when it was part through at a point “building the navigation” what ever this is.

I have asked my friend, who gave me his old version of Pro and Encore which I’m using, he now uses a much new version of both. He told me the version of Prem Pro I have is about 3 yrs old and the same with Encore, but when he used them he had no problems. He can’t advise me what is wrong.
    Regards

    Hi Jeff,

I used Adobe Prem Pro to edit the raw video, then I exported it into Encore using DV (PAL) as I live in the UK.
The setting those used by Encore.

As I have said I’m very new to this and although I’m quite technical video is a very new thing, but I’m willing to learn.

    Regards
