Hi every one thanks for the tips, I sorted it out by outputting it as HDV 720p, was just defaulting to interlacing. Thank you !

Thanks so much it has worked a treat just as good quality and without the interlacing problem and also files are much smaller thanks 🙂

Thanks for responding the codec is one of the ones listed HD one but if i want to keep the quality what codec do you suppose converting it too ? to keep quality

I have tried avi in past but the videos are set keyable so are already transparent when i want to use in project whereas if i convert to .avi i loose quality when keying out the black.

So what quicktime codec does after effects actually like?
