    I just worked it out!
I have to have the actual codec, don’t I!
It has to be installed in my QT folder and because it comes with FCS2, I will have to buy the upgrade version to get the codec!

    Thanks Floh,

I am aware of the roundabout fix. I just haven’t got around to trying it as I find Compressor works very fast and gives me very good results for my DVDs.

“So, as Arthur mentioned, the new 100’s have the export option of 0-255 range, but does it do anything about the gamma?”

No gamma adjustments but if you encode using Compressor, there are adjustments there as you are probably well aware, however I use 11.6.2, export to QT none compression using computer 0-255 (or whatever it is) for my DVDs and I do not encounter any issues at all with the picture. I do not adust for gamma in Compressor. As Bitvice currently has 8 core issues where the program crashes just after it starts encoding, I cannot comment on it.

    My experiences if it helps.

    Yes,
I have version 11.6.2 running on my dual 3GHz 8 core MacPro with 4Gb RAM very nicely. If you do buy yourself an 8 core, ensure you download 11.6.2 from M100’s website BEFORE you start editing otherwise the chances are, M100 will not work properly.

I have, however come across a persistent bug in that when I setup all my ip/op parameters in a particular codec, on occasion, the audio input during acquire is not available, even though all connections are correct and you can hear it!!!!! The only way to ensure audio in comes up on the audio window is to quit the project and open it right up again. Audio input comes up OK. Not a big deal but something that should be looked into by M100 engineers.

    Go for it!!!

What about trying to make your wmv file from Cleaner?
Or what about creating a standard MPEG1 (multiplexed with audio) file if you need to play it back in windows media.

Perhaps Procoder (I have windoze version) may assist. It has helped me on a number of occassions.

Just a few thoughts if all else fails.

just sifting through other posts, I came across your solution for another poster not so long ago.

Thanks for that. I might just do that if I really need to do transitions, otherwise I will wait the few days till 11.6.2 comes out.

    Thanks again Floh
