[Kieran Matthew] “Why Boris decided to move all this around is a complete mystery.

    Probably because they can! Cheers.

Will check it out. Thanks very much Floh. I’ve been too lazy to read the manual. Apologies.

    I concur.

That is one ‘bug’ in 12.x.x that I have encountered for a while but never got around to posting. Checking smooth motion (meant for slow motion speeds) does not help the situation either.

AE to the ‘rescue’ for the time being.

I have found another issue, this time with Graffiti that comes with HDe. How can I have the text page X and Y coordinates for say a line of text default to HOLD when I move the line down to the subtitle area at the lower part of the screen. Once I move if from centre default, it changes to ease in/ease out. My previous version of Graffiti from M100 version 8 did not have this problem.

I have checked my preferences of course.

    Thanks very much

This is so funny that so many people have this issue but we have ALL just lived with it.

I save my projects to a folder on my Mac HDD and when I am using the project on a regular basis over a few days/weeks etc, I save an alias to the desktop. No matter what I do – double clicking on the original or alias, pretty much all the time the M100 asks to save a new project. Nothing different from what I have been doing for the 12 years or so previously.

Can you please help us David C?
    Thanks

    Thanks guys,

I have tried a few things, but to no avail. Luckily my backups helped me out quickly as I will have to complete this important project very soon. Thanks for your prompt replies.

Any time is a great time to buy into M100/Macpro. I have a stunning system using 8 core 3.0Ghz unit with 4Gb RAM & 1TB Lacie FW800. 11.6.3 HDe runs first class.

Don’t forget to add PS CS3 & AE CS3 for value adding.

What video format do you intend working with?

    Hi Scott,

Thanks very much for your response. I worked it out with my M100 supplier, Floh (Genius) Peters also lent a kind hand and you finalised any doubts.

I have ordered my FCS2 upgrade from my Apple supplier, will pick it up tomorrow and I will report back (in a new post) as to how well my Dual 3Ghz 8 core Intel beast handles PR 422.

    Thanks guys.

Thanks very much Floh, I managed to discuss that with my supplier and it’s OK to do EXACTLY as you say.

I will keep the ProRes/AE issue in mind but i’m sure that Adobe will address the issue in due course – well I hope so.

How much experience have you had with ProRes, if any?

    Thanks

    Thanks Dave, got it.

Now how do I install Apple ProRes 422 (after I buy FCS2) without interfering with M100HDe and AJA hardware?
    Thanks David Issko
