    Thanks for the info Ben!

If you can reply to this post when you are back in London that would be helpful. Its no problems doing the PAL DigiBeta transfer, but getting an NTSC version is a headache, so any help would be great!

    Thanks,
    D

Have applied the filters and read up a bit on the background, I think I am comfortable with the process now. Thanks for all the help! D

The Animation is funded by the British Film Council and is to be showed internationally at selected film festivals. They have requested the DigiBeta Tapes to be PAL but I will need to Make a NTSC version for the States. The previous post mentioned broadcast legal colours, I have no experience of this, how do I go about setting up a 10 bit uncompressed render that meets legal NTSC requirements? What do I have to set up?
    Thanks,

    D

    Hello,

I had the same trouble a while ago, but I managed to sort it out.

Instead of exporting a SWF from flash, export a 720 x 576 25fps quicktime movie (if working with PAL), or NTSC equivilant. Then create a new project in FCP, go to the sequence menu and then Settings, change it from DV to Animation.

    Bingo!

    Your sorted!

I also have the same problem all the render settings appear to be fine. Is there a particular way they should be set up?

I would realy appreciate any help to sort out this problem.

    Thanks

    Dave
