    Hey everyone,

I’m working on a commercial, and I need to import a Flash animation into FCP 4.1.
It imports the SWF file fine, but it doesn’t keep the background of the file clear like I need it. Is there something special I need to do?

    Thank you,
    Stephen Lindsay

Go outsie Final Cut and try to open the file with the Quick Time player. Then export it from there as the type of video that your sequence is. That might work better. I’m not sure, but it’s the first thing I’d try.

    Hello,

I had the same trouble a while ago, but I managed to sort it out.

Instead of exporting a SWF from flash, export a 720 x 576 25fps quicktime movie (if working with PAL), or NTSC equivilant. Then create a new project in FCP, go to the sequence menu and then Settings, change it from DV to Animation.

    Bingo!

    Your sorted!
