I have had a go at everything thats been mentioned and still i am having a problem. I am using Illustrator CS2 and Pro Animator 3. I can make a shape in Illustrator CS2 and then i am selecting it with the selection tool, then in effects menu paths Outline object. Saving it with out usiin compression and as an Illustrator 10 or 8 file.

Then i poen the Pro Animator app and attempt to import the file i have just made and i get a message saying “Not enough memory”.

    Where am I going wrong.

    please help

    Thanks for any help

  • Thank you to every one who helped and suggested things to do. I have managed to sort the problem by going back to Illustrator 10.

  • Jon thank you for answering my cry for help.

i think i have tryed almost every possible configuration. When i attempt to insert an AI file in to Pro animator it always says “Not enought memory to complete this operation” Then that is it.

I think the fundemental problem is, i don’t think i am making paths properly in Illustrator.

    Look forward to your reply.

    Hi Jon

Well i have constructed a shape using paths in illustrator and then import it in to animator but still i get the same “not enough memory” thing. Maybe i am just not able to do this thing.

    All the best

Reason why i ask, is that when i attempt to bring an AI file in to Animator pro it tells me i don’t have enough memory.

Thanks Jon for responding. I heard your interview on the Cow podcast i thought it was the most interesting cast since the start.

    All the best

    Hi Mark

    thanks for responding.

I was wanting to use ballaction as the first layer and then effect it with wave world, just like a kids ballpool. But every time i try this, i can’t seem to get the first layer back and have it effected by wave world.

hope this is enough info for you.

just as an aside, i notice from your profile that you are involved with soccer or as we scots callit football.

I don’t know if you have ever watched our UK Sky sports football coverage. they have this club badge graphic that the club badges are in 3d and spin. wanted to know how this is constructed and what applications are used to do this.
