so disregard – I gave up and deleted everything and reloaded CS6. It works for now, but I’m not going to press my luck. I’ll finish up on something more stable.

I’ve tried rebooting, trashing the preferences, making sure the loop button wasn’t checked, etc. Nothing has corrected.
I’d rule out a bad red file as I can’t play any media. I’ve created a new project and sequence and tried many different types of media and I cannot play a single one of them. I can drag the playhead through the timeline and the media does scrub, but no playing at all.

December 16, 2012 at 3:09 am in reply to: Black bar showing up at bottom of screen after renderI checked – everything looks correct. (scale to fit, no crop, etc). The issue is definitely in the sequence as I can see the thin black bar in the preview window when exporting. When I drag a new clip in, the bar is not present and the bar at the top of the sequence is yellow. When I render (Sequence – Render Entire Work Area) it turns green but the black bar shows up.

Now if we could just get AJA to work with Davinci Resolve. I love my Kona3 card and the new drivers do work with CS5.5, but unless AJA can get drivers working for the Resolve system i’m not sure it will matter.

Must just be my laptop then…bravo to them for taking their medicine. Reviews can’t be good.

if they aren’t surprised why did they allow reviews on the app store initially only to pull them as they honest reviews came in. I call shenanigans.

Want to thank you guys for the help. I can reconnect the media that I still have the mov’s for, unfortunately I have deleted several of the mov folders so I was trying to re-injest those clips from the bpav folders I had saved. It was confusing because some of them linked fine and some I had to reconnect both the sequence clips and the clips in the browser. I’m guessing I may have broken the links when I made some of the clips independent from the original source files. Its odd that not all reconnect in both places, but I was able to work it out – again thanks for the help.
