Im kinda new to some of this but, I captured on my Z7u 1080i 24p using tape and it is not true 24p as stated above.
I captured the footage using 1080i60 HDV preset for capturing it all but, do I still need to remove the pull down some how in FCP6?

I have wondered why the 1080i 24p on tape doesnt look as rich and high quality as the 1080i 24p recorded on CF Cards.

Im trying to find the best preset in FCP that will give me the best quality with the smallest file size.

I think I fixed it.
I highlighted the .m2v SD asset and selected interpret footage under file and selected SD DVD and my movie filled the 16:9 screen.
Did a build to see if it works.

Wow, Im having the same problem with Encore, QT file imported into PPro, dynamic linked into Encore.
Seems OK in Encore play back but, may resort to QT file into PPRO then to transcode it.
I didnt have the problems from this route,

Im new to Encore and I created a menu in CS4 Encore not realizing it was 720x 480 for my blu-ray movie 1440 x 1080.
Is there a easy way to change it to a HD menu?
