  • re: [Rafael Amador] “No. When you use a 35mm adapter you flip the picture only vertically.”

Maybe your 35mm adapter flips differently than mine, but I can assure you that only flipping (FLOP) VERTICALLY will leave my actors on the wrong side of the screen. Therefore, BOTH is what it takes to restore the image.

  • The INSTANT way to pull this off.

    1. Double Click the file you want to add the effect to.
    2. In the clip viewer window (left video screen) select the FILTER tab.
    3. Add the FLOP effect (Effects–> Perspective –> Flop)
    4. The effect is now shown on the EFFECTS tab
    5. Select BOTH
    6. Continue to keep this clip the active clip
    7. On the timeline select all the other clips you want to rotate
    8. With the FLOP effect still being shown in the clip viewer window click on it, continue to hold the mouse button down, and drag the effect onto the group of selected clips on the timeline. Let go of the mouse.

All of your clips have just been rotated 180 degrees with no render time. Takes 2 seconds.

This is THE way to pull this off.

    Hope it helps!

    David,

    Thanks for your reply.

To use the Master Template feature I:

    1) place my cursor on the timeline to make sure it is active
    2) From the menu bar above I select locate Master Template… and select it.
    3) Up pops many templates (NTSC, PAL, HD) from which I chose one. Let’s say my project is an SD project so I select an SD template
    4) The template places itself on the timeline
    5) I click on it to make sure it is active
    6) I then click on the “Controls” tab in the viewer. Here I see all of the zones for entering text and placing graphics. For example, at the top I might have “Drop Zone 4” and to the right of the box that says “Drop Zone 4” I have a box that looks like it would accept text. Here comes the problem… there is supposed to be another box between “Drop Zone 4” and the text box, a small box that allows me to drop in a graphical element. THIS SMALL BOX IS MISSING. It is not there in any template.

I’m familiar enough with FC to know that these boxes are supposed to be there, but they aren’t.

    THAT is my problem.

    Thanks for any thoughts.
