Nope. This is what I would do as well.

  • Technically there is no “color profile” embedded in your file: it very much depends on your output codec. Some of them might have a flag to specify which color space you’ve been working in. Unfortunately there is no standards used between programs/players… so it is up to you to make sure you work in the intended color space and choose the right output codec that will allow you to keep the same color space.

Have you tried creating a sequence from this clip by dragging it to the template icon? still the same behavior? I would suspect the codec being an issue for your “old” cpu? have you tried to convert to ProRes? does it still stutter?

See Todd’s link: I think it summarizes pretty well all the issues you may encounter when shooting and designing graphics motion at lower frame rate… then there is a fair amount of test & trial to see what works the best for your particular needs.

    Good luck,

For dealing with noise I like Denoiser from Red Giant: it includes also some sharpening to dealing with softness introduced by denoising. I know some others prefer Neat Video but I do not have much experience with it.

    Good luck!

In my experience, yes you get the advantage of oversampling… but it all depends on the quality of your original 4K footage… which camera? which codec for recording?… to me 4K does not mean much… for example if you take a 4K GoPro footage (H.264) on one side and an Alexa 3.4K footage (ARRIRAW log), Alexa will win easily in terms of quality, especially when you scale it down to 1080.

    Just my 2 cents,

…and what is your frame rate?? what is the speed of your move (in pixel values)?

Try to use some motion blur.

have you tried to use a different blend mode than Normal? I would try with Multiply or Screen? depending on your shot you may have to do some rotoscoping to keep just the part of the shot that interest you.

No, I see a picture that was taken with a camera that did not have a proper white balance done. Therefore I see kind of bluish in what it is supposed to be white (I think?;-) and brown (different tints) where I am guessing it was supposed to be gold (I think again;-)… I certainly don’t see a deep black there.

To be fair I asked my girl and she indeed see black where I see the brownish color… some illusion effects? someone smarter than me will certainly chime in…
