    Hi there,

I was wondering if color management mattered for the final output?

Or is it just so programs like AE, Premiere etc know how to interprete files?

it depends if you care to know how your program will look like at the end!

So yes, it is important to embed a color profile into a video before sending it out for the people that will watch it?

Technically there is no “color profile” embedded in your file: it very much depends on your output codec. Some of them might have a flag to specify which color space you’ve been working in. Unfortunately there is no standards used between programs/players… so it is up to you to make sure you work in the intended color space and choose the right output codec that will allow you to keep the same color space.
