Dave–I appreciate the info. Normally I do change the bitrate in Vegas to get my mpeg2 within the propper size parameters, but I thought I’d give this a shot since the video I was working on was nothing really special or needed to be of high quality. Out of curiousity if I go about it in DVDA will the quality be less than if done in Vegas?

Hi John,

Thanks for your reply. I checked my DVDA settings and they were set on 4.70 gb disc. When I was processing the file it seemed like it was doing what your instructions stated because DVDA was saying something to the effect of “video too large for disc compressing to fit”. It just didn’t compress it enough. Something else must be set wrong or ???.

Hi John,

I tried your suggestion:

“Alternately you can render to DV AVI and drop that into DVD Architect and it will automatically calculate the correct bit-rate so that it fits on the disc.”

I had avi files adding up to about two hours and fifeteen minutes. After approx three hours of proccesing my final file size for the DVD was over seven gigs. Do you know what I did wrong? I was using DVD Architect Pro 5.0

Hi Neal, (or anyone else out there),

I’m trying to find the “Panasonic VW-BN2 DVD Burner” but am not having any luck. It’s either back ordered or discontinued. Do you know if Panasonic has replaced it? Or where I can find one or something that would work instead of?

I have seen some video taken by a flip from the sidelines of a football game and it was pretty good stuff, but I wonder how the flip would handle the low light conditions of a high school gym?

I got the specs from the computer that the coaches are using.

Would it be at all possible for them to copy the game files from the camera (panasonic) to this computer then burn them onto DVD (no editing needed)?
