What?? I’ve never heard someone say they can’t post screenshots due to the “premier festivals” they’re entering. I’ve seen multi-minute videos of scenes prior to submission of international festivals.

You’re using video game capture software? Have you tried a different capture program? Many of those YT videos look quite poor, and it is probably due to the capture program/codec.
Don’t forget that YT uses their own compression when you upload. That’s why those that prefer quality use Vimeo.
And use the search tool for more input. Topic is covered frequently.

What are you using for audio hardware? On-motherboard chip set or dedicated sound card? Have you tried reinstalling sound card drivers? Any other audio issues outside of Vegas?
Has to be something with that C drive problem. Personally, this is why I never put anything on the C drive except the program itself. Dedicated drive for projects and audio, separate drive for video. Just easier to keep things running smoothly.

What recorded the source footage? That comes into play, big time. When I compare my DVDs (24 mb/s AVCHD camera) to my friends Sony FS700 w/Odyssey 7Q, his DVDs look much better because the original footage is much better quality. And we use same software, same render settings.
Panning on CMOS cameras can suck, especially on fast pans with lower bitrate cameras.

Mine play fine in Windows Media Player and does have its audio included. Sounds like you have other issues possibly.

I use Mainconcept 1080 for Internet and enable two-pass and my YT uploads look fine.

Did you color test the cameras before filming, to see how they matched up? I never heard of a production mixing Canon and Nikon.

Is the video choppy due to fast movement of recorded objects and the shutter speed you used to record?

Sorry that you are having this stressful problem. A question: is the Vegas project file stored on the same drive as your video files (and animation files)? Since you were getting the message ‘media offline’ before the .veg file bit the dust, I’m wondering if you have a drive that is dying or has bad sectors (if it is non-SSD).
