Sorry Ethan, there’s no chance for 64 bit support.

What type of volume (HFS, FAT, etc.) is HD3? Make sure it’s the same as HD2. Note that reformatting it will erase it.

Maybe make a zip file from one of the programs (no media needed), put it in a public Dropbox folder and post the url to it here.

To make a zip file, ctrl-click from the Finder and select Compress “filename”

Did your files spend some time on a Windows machine or server? I suspect they were stripped of their resource forks and are therefore permanently useless. You have to find the originals on a Mac volume.

  • Yes, the software conform can set a custom crop area. In addition the crop area can change inside the duration of the clip, meaning you can create a “pan and scan” effect, zoom, etc.

  • My point was that after the HDx hardware became obsolete, it was replaced by a much more flexible Conform option in software, with keyframeable cropping, rotation, etc. The downside of the software solution is that it requires rendering. So is the new version “better” than the old version? I think so, because it runs on today’s Macs and has more features.

The custom setting was a hardware feature of the HDx board. Other boards from other manufacturers can’t do it. You can do a software conform using the moving objects editor and choose a custom transformation.

What about the “Collect Files from Project” command?

Bug fixes, latest AJA driver support. But really my point is that Boris is clearly gambling to get some revenue from the product and that if people want to ever see another version they’d better support this one.

Michael, I don’t think you have to move to Yosemite just to use the new Media 100 version.
