November 14, 2010 at 9:49 am in reply to: problem importing (full) video (sony vegas pro9HAve you tried bypassing Vegas for the import? Eg, copy the video file directly to your C drive first (or wherever on your hard drive) and then doing an import into Vegas?

The “stop” button on the remote stops the playback of the disc in DVD players.
There are a few things you can do:
When you click on the button to play the video, the button has an option on what to do upon completion. On the page with the video, double-click on the video. In the “media properties” window on the right, click on the “end action” button. Select what you want it to do. “Stop” is probably selected. You might try setting it to “link” or something else. Note that these only come into play when the selected video completes.
The other thing is in those properties try clicking on “remote buttons”. You’ll see “stop”. Turn it “off” so a user can’t hit the stop button to stop playback. To return to a menu, it’s the “Menu” button that should be used.

Are you sure neither audio track is muted? Are both audio tracks visible in your timeline?
Can you post a screen capture of your Vegas project so we can see your timeline?

My first reaction is it’s something wrong with the font files.
Does the font work in other programs such as Photoshop or Word?

Glad you got this working.
I totally agree with you regarding Power Directory. That’s the last program I used before switching to Vegas too. 🙂

What happens when you select to optimize the disc? Does anything need to be reconverted? Is everything compliant?
Have you tried deleting all the “prepared” files from the prepared folder and starting again?

Since this post is kinda old, I’m going to throw out a basic question… have you tried reading the manual if you’re still having issues with this?

October 18, 2010 at 12:16 am in reply to: Applying a different audio track in two menus using the same video in DVD ArchitectFirst thing I would try is renaming the audio files so DVD Architect doesn’t automatically associate them (if this is how you imported them).
Then the next thing I would do is download the DVD Architect Manual because it specifically mentions using different audio tracks:

Good luck!

I would try doing a search on the net. I have an old version of “Gold Wave” which allows for a lot of sound files to be imported and manipulated.
Also, any of your video editors like Sony Vegas will show you the waveform on the timeline.
Hope this helps!

Hey there,
1) How big is the project (time wise)? If it’s short, have you tried remaking it?
2) If you’re having problems rendering it, have you tried pulling little bits out here and there to try and isolate where the rendering issues are being caused?
3) In lots of projects AVI files give me problems rendering (eg, they flicker, blur, or do all sorts of weird stuff even though they play fine in Windows Media player). So what I’ve had to do is convert those AVI’s into another format like WMV and then import them into my veg project.
4) Have you tried making a simpler blue-ray project to see if that renders and burns ok?
Hope these questions help get you started! 🙂
