    The only problem we have seen is if you are using graphics (PSD, TIFF, JPEG maybe others) and you add a drop shadow the graphic will vibrate even after rendering.

    The renders we are doing with HDV look great. The slo motion is the best I have seen yet to come out of FCP.

    I did forget to mention above that if I turned off the AJA IO it does smooth out the playback. I thing it the AJA Beta drivers.

  • We had a lot of trouble at first with the set ups. Use an easy set up it make life a lot easier.
    Make sure the ONLY FW device plugged directly into your computer is the AJA IO. It doesn’t like to share. When capturing use the DV easy set up. After you finish capturing go back to the easy set up and use one of the AJA IO set ups. It doesn

    We have used it with FCP 5 and 10.4.1 and so far so good with limited testing.

    PS WHERE’S THE NEW VERSION OF RED?
    IT”S BEEN YEARS SINCE THEY DID A SERIOUS UPDATE.

    So far so good, we did a clean install. Used compressor, seemed fine Motion is much faster. Telestream’s WMV plugin works in Compressor. Mastered to tape with AJA IO with beta driver no problem.

    We also had to switch to to Faster in the render settings to get an images not to jitter.
    202 did you do a clean install or upgrade on top of Panther.
    We did a clean install and have not had any crashes yet.
    Have you tried trashing the prefs?
