  • Thanks Larry & Steve for your replies.
I only have 1 pc activated, so no idea how it got to 6.
I went to the url larry suggested & submitted that I want to
retire my old pc. I submitted a question like this a almost a week ago & never got a response.
I just submitted my request for help again.

Is there a way to get to talk to a real person ?
The 1-800-577-6642 is purely menu driven, all recordings.

Thanks again for all your help.

I have Pro Vegas 10, never had a problem with it on my HP desktop. My HP blew up, so I bought a new Dell desktop.

Installed Pro Vegas 10 on my new Dell, & I can’t register it. It says I need a new activation code.
Tried calling support line 800-577-6642 several times.
No chance to talk to a live person with this number !
I chose a phone menu option, which suggested I do the following procedure:

Try to register > I get msg “an error occurred…” > Retry 3 times > Customer Support Link > Registration Form. Entered my Contact Info > “Submit Form” takes me to https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/reg/software.
I selected radio btn “I have a serial number”, find my S/N in the dropdown, enter my new Machine ID > “Continue” . I get error msg in red:
“The server was unable to complete the registration as requested. [-41]”.

I had an older Movie Studio HD Platinum v 10 that installed on my Dell, no problem.

Run out of options here. Any suggestions on who to call/what to do without having to pay for tech support ?

Thanks in advance for anyone’s advice on how to activate my Pro 10 on my new pc 🙂

May 1, 2012 at 5:42 am in reply to: Best way to convert 24/96 to cd

Thanks for your reply Stephen. “use legacy disc drivers” is already checked. On this tab, I also have the 1st checkbox checked “use strict red book…”.

Maybe I have to render it first & specify how to convert ? However, I don’t see an option on SVP 10 that will let me burn a cd using a rendered file. I wouldn’t mind using some other software to down convert & burn, as long as it isn’t too pricey ( like over $200 ) & will let me add cd track markers.
