OK thanks! Is it an issue that my C100 shooting 60i imports into Premiere Pro CC 2015 as 29.97i UFF? Do I need to interpret this footage to 59.94i frame rate before the other stuff?

So, this footage is not slowed down at all? Just shot 60i and deposited in a 24p timeline?

And just like that…it stopped! I literally upgraded to the CC 2015 version 2 days ago.

This problem existed in both CC and CC 2014 versions. And now, with CC 2015, it’s gone.

The very definition of a quirky problem…

Sadly, no. Just the handful of responses I got from folks who said that the problem didn’t apply to them.

Kind of hacks me off because our company has an enterprise agreement with Adobe, which means they should basically be bending over backwards to at least address these issues.

Do you also find that this behavior never happens in AE? Just Premiere?

Thanks for your reply. Then like I said, there must be a setting somewhere that I’m missing. I’ll explore further.

I’m not entirely certain I’m understanding your question, but let me be clear about what is happening:

If I have a project with 10 sequences, for example (which is not uncommon as I cut TV spots), the post-CS6 versions of Premiere will open my timeline with any one of those 10 sequences. Completely random, not based on any criteria I can discern.

So, instead of opening the most recently worked on sequence, I’ll have to navigate to my project window, drill into my sequences folder and choose the one I need just to get started. Yeah, it’s only an extra 10-15 seconds, but it’s a hassle.

After Effects never exhibits this behavior. It always opens the last comp I worked on. Premiere should be able to do the same.

Right you are, Alex. I had totally missed that!

Drag-and-drop would be my guess as to what happened. Did you lose any audio tracks as well? Were 4 recorded?

Thanks-exactly what I did. Fortunately, applying the 3D camera tracker again and then selecting “create camera and null” after analyzing re-locked all of my existing 3D text into position, which I didn’t know would happen – bonus!

    Hi Sanja,

I’m not in front of my edit suite right now, so I can’t be of help until tomorrow. My fix was the batch file that my IT guy wrote which restored the file names to include those all-important four blank spaces at the beginning of the file name in the CLPR folder. I will say that you can’t simply add these spaces because (at least in PC-land) the file name will just collapse again.

I can send you the batch file if you want to provide me with an email address. However, you’ll have to use it for a reference only, because as I said it was written for PC, not Mac. If you google creating a batch file in Mac OS, you’ll get some insight.
