  • Hi Red-Rob,

Thanks – it was the latter “ignore event grouping” thing. It was enabled!

No, haven’t done that. I’ll try it out and see. Where can I find Vegas Deep Learning Models?

I’m having issues with with the colorization plug in. For some reason it only works on some photos and footage. But when I try it on certain photos they suddenly disappear on the video preview. Is it a glitch in the system?

Hi Doug, thanks for your reply. I did try opening the clip in another project. It still seemed to take forever to analyze. Then once it finished analyzing I was unable to watch it as the image just froze in place. Not sure what’s what.

I have windows 7. Nothing has changed – not even the firewire cable itself. And even before I connect the camera to the computer – I can’t get any window to pop up that prompts me to connect one etc. Thanks for the video capture suggestion. I’ll check it out.

The camera itself says “camera in” when I plug it into the computer with the firewire.. I also hear an audio tone when I do that as well that says the computer is acknowledging a device has been connected. In Vegas I then click on “capture video” in the file menu. Then I click “dv”. I get no window popping up when I click on “dv”. Nothing happens at all.

I’m going to try the proxy files and see if that can do it. I got NV because of a project that had shots that were just too dark. Lightening them really made the noise pop out so NV worked very well with that. Also I think NV will be good in general to make shots a little cleaner. I did notice the lagging/freezing when I was first using NV but I’m not using it at all with this project. In fact right now I haven’t added any effects yet in the project i.e. pan/crop, brightness/contrast, color correction etc. but it was really just not moving at all. One thing I am using for it is a WAV audio file (it’s a music video). Could that be slowing things down?

Thanks George. Dragging the project file into the time line (as opposed to “opening” it) seemed to do the trick. Glitches happen!
