Thanks guys. I see now that I was using track keyframing which would not shift when shifting clips. I should have used clip volume keyframing. They move along nicely when shifting the clip.

Yes I used (M) “track select tool” and shift to select all of the tracks. When I drag the selected tracks to the right, the keyframed audio automation does not shift with the selected tracks resulting in misalingment of the automation.
