try searching through your avid attic files and find the specific bin that you’re trying to open. rename the extension to .avb — then open bin it with avid.

there will be tons of these bins in your attic as it automatically saves your bin’s history there. work your way backwards until you get to open it.

once you get to open it with a specific bin (supposing all the others failed) see if you could recognize the files which are different in that bin. if it’s missing a file, that file could be the corrupted media.

have you solved the problem?

have you tried disconnecting any monitor from the camera? this i believe, intermittently cause signal conflicts with the 1394 connection when dubbing out — happened to me a number of times before.
