Mpeg is harder on the CPU than DV AVI. If DV AVI is what you have, keep using it.

GPU only helps with rendering AVCHD on a slow machine. Or when using open GL third party pluggins like BCC, they can help with previewing these effects. If you have a fast computer like an I7, you won’t see any difference with GPU usage.

Are you letting it do a firmware update? It prompts me to do so when ever I switch drivers.

I use the Shuttle with the latest drivers, but I had to uninstall all BM drivers and software before loading the newest Video Desktop then Media Express.

Get an I7 and set yourself up for the future. I have two of them and they can edit 1080p60 without a problem.

I render to WMV all the time. I see a .m4a file on your timeline. I would remove one of the format files at a time until it will render.
It seems Vegas has a problem with one or more of your files your editing.

Too bad the board isn’t green or blue. You could key out the green or blue and let the underlying video show through. Then you would only need to motion track it to keep it in the same place on the card.

Your project settings should match the footage your editing.
HDV 1 720p, HDV 2 1080i, both are in .m2t format. HD can be several formats. If you click on one of your videos in the Vegas explorer or project media tab, it tells you at the bottom of that window what the video is. Select a project preset that matches that. As far as 8 or 32 bit, I can get better contrast setting it to 32 when editing HDV, where my other two cameras shoot 1080 60p and setting it to 32 bit makes no visable difference.
Also if your burning DVDs or BR discs and your footage is interlaced, leave it that way as the players will deinterlace it for you. I usually watch my videos from a computer so if my video is interlaced I set my project settings to Progressive, method to blend for fast moving video and interpolate for slow moving video. Playing interlaced video from a computer, the interlacing is very visable.Hope this helps, Danny Hays

I believe the Cuda cores only help when rendering AVCHD. What format are you using?
