Thanks Brett… The 1080p30 clips are 29.97, and I would like to use just a couple of these. The vast majority of the project is 720p24 (Panasonic P2 720p24/PN), so I thought it best to set up the sequences accordingly.
I’m nearing Rough Cut. Would you recommend changing sequence settings or just do without those 1080p30 clips? Thanks

I had success, finally, by going the hard road and completely setting up a “clean” system (re-formatted a drive, installed the OS, updated it, clean installed FC Studio, updated that). It took basically all night, but it cleared up all the weird, small problems…

The hard road works: I reformatted a drive. Clean install of OS 10.5.4, software Update to 10.5.8. New clean install of FCS 3.
Clean install of BlackMagic 7.5. Tested. Works as advertised.Happy Holidays

Is Snow Leopard good to go with FCP Studio 7? Advised? Contraindications?

Slightly embarrassed… Did some digging. Mac needs a firmware update too. (Faked out by vendor)
