Make an image of the card and with mpge streamclip convert every clip individually.

The AG AF100 doesn’t use P2 cards, it uses SD-HC cards. It records avchd but you can capture with a KiPro directly to Prores 422.

Yes, you see, in order to do the Log and Transfer in Final Cut to Prores you need to copy the whole folder structure to your hard drive and then it will connect properly.

Check Shane´s tutorial on how to do what I am telling you, it would be more clearer and easy for you to understand watching it.

You need to Log and Transfer that files to Prores (LT is probably just fine) because that H.264 files are a capture codec not a editing one.
if you don´t have the folder structure and just the files now then convert them in Compressor or in MPEG Streamclip (you can download it for free)

you probably have the wireframe option selected on the canvas, chance to image+wireframe or the image one. Hope that´s the problem

Check Roxio Video Player, it can handle mts preaty well or there’s a Panasonic plug in for playing that files on quicktime now. I don’t have the link but Google it or search in the forum, someone post it, with that plug you have to wait until the quicktime fills the cache or something but it plays real good to.

I always put everthing in the same folder, that way you can move a project without any problem.
Put the capture scratch and all the other options in the folder with the project name. Put the photos and music you are going to use in there as well.

You can convert avchd with mpge streamclip to Prores if final 6 doesn’t convert them in log and transfer.

  • I think you can put parts of the suite on another disk but not the entire program. Maybe you can put the audio tracks of soundtrack in the g-raid.
    Check it out.
