    Hi Brian,

I’m just experiencing the same problem, my audio files have gone offline with an unspecified path, making it impossible to reconnect the media. I also used Plural eyes to sync the footage.

I know it was a while ago, but I was wondering if you can remember what you do to solve the issue.

    Many thanks,

    Danielle

  • Many thanks for that – I was having the same problem, and its now solved.

However I’m a bit mystified as to why I would have that problem all of a sudden, I had a similar issue with trying to change my Scratch Disk back to my internal hard-drive, (after using an external one) it told me I didn’t have permission to write the disk, and I had to change the permissions of my user, and I’m the admin.

I’ve previously used it as the scratch disk with no permissions changing so I’m just curious if anyone know why this would happen all of a sudden?

    Many thanks,

    Danielle

    Hi Ash,

Did you manage to find a solution?

I’m having the same problem. I’m capturing from a Sony HDV Z1E camera to my Mac Book Pro. I’ve tried changing the scratch disks to capture straight to the macbook hard drive.

Anyone got any other ideas what the problem might be?

    Thanks,

    Danielle

    Hi there,

thanks for that. Yeah unfortunately he is a bit of a hand waver so I’m having to do some of it frame by frame. It seems to be working with the crop and feather tools though.

Yes it is difficult to match the wall colour, however I don’t think impossible. What is making it look terrible is that there are small white boxes around each cropped layer? No idea how to get rid of these.

Ahh the crop tool, I’ve always wondered how to use that!

    Thank you.

Only thing is now trying to match up the color of the new piece of wall against the old one. I’m using the color corrector to adjust the mids and whites, but its pretty painstaking to get it correct, don’t suppose you know a quicker way to do that do you?

Also another problem, later on in the footage he steps in front of the sign, I’m pretty sure the same cropping wont work having to work around his head.

    Thank you for your help.

I take that back, it seems it was in my original footage, and I just didn’t notice it until now.

If it was only a couple of times I’d say it was me adjusting the white balance, but its throughout all the shots, I think I was using auto as the manual function on this camera is pretty hard to adjust, being more of a consumer camera.

Bit off topic I know, but don’t suppose anyone knows how to avoid this in future?

    Thanks, Danielle

It seems I am now faced with a new problem.

The color balance of the clips that I converted to ProRes using MPGStreamclip seems to be fluctuating every couple of seconds from warm to cold color within the same clip. The original footage does not have this as it was fine with the previous conversion. Any idea why this has happened?

I’m a bit annoyed that I’ve only noticed this now, and as I have just spent the best part of the day reconverting all my footage! Don’t suppose there is a quick fix?

    HI Michael/Rafael,

So far the audio render problem is no longer there when converting to Prores, which is great.

However I am still getting a low quality with the output. I am not changing anything but the codec, but there is pixelation with any camera movement on the final output. Though maybe this is just due to the low quality of the original video? (JVC Enviro).

    Many thanks for your help.
