October 22, 2009 at 8:22 am in reply to: Importing problems in After Effects 7/CS3 (Canon A710)Oh sorry, not my intention making people frustrated =) !
However, I’ve seem to have solved the problem! K-Lite (2009) doesn’t support MJPEG (couldn’t find it in the list anyway) which is the (footage) format of my Camera (Canon PowerShot A710 IS). So I complemeted K-Lite with Pegasus MJPEG PicVideo v3.0 Codec and that solved it! And for all you other people who might come across this issue, this is what it looks like!

..unfortunatly CodecSniper didn’t work all that good though! =)
QuickTime Alternative also seem to have solved the start-up message I mentioned before. However, I haven’t tried importing any mov-files yet so I can’t say for sure.
What remains is this….

Funny thing is that for some reason I do get Premiere to import the MPEGs but NOT AE (AE7). Then again, this is obviously a different thread.
Anyway…
THANX CHRIS!!

October 21, 2009 at 10:58 pm in reply to: Importing problems in After Effects 7/CS3 (Canon A710)Ok, I tried disabled the ffdshow in the “configure” tab and there were no change! I also uninstalled the K-Lite codecpack and reinstalled (the older, previously always working!) ACE Mega Codec Pack, restarting windows and tried importing after each change, and that didn’t work either! (Curently using AE7). I also tried importing in Premiere 2.0 with same results!
The only good thing is that the start up message dissapeared so QT now obviously seem to work!
What could this be?

Otherwise, thanx a bunch! This forum seem… HUGE!!

Ok, so Audition is not a “crap app” (not completely anyway)! But spare me the “lack of operating it poperly” crap! I was using this app when your mama was in dipers! Adobe simple refuses to acknowledge a flaw as soon there is one – and we’re not talking simple crashdows! We’re talking messing up hardware – just read threads! Further, I can only establish the fact that since Adobe incorporated the technology from Syntrillium it’s been a mess! One could perhaps say “twice the pride – double the fall” I guess! And don’t you even dare make comparisons with Cubase! It’s simply rediculous!

It’s a crap app – what did you expect!

Hi Myleninum
As I’m also looking for something like this I would aprechiate if you could elaborate. I’m fairly new to AE and by the sound of it it seems possible to achieve this within AE. Although, as it happens, ParticleIllusion SE [https://www.wondertouch.com/] (as conviently addvertized om this page) also seems to be somewhat an alternative. However not sure how much the audio part is considered there and how compatible with AE it is (stand alone app).
