I call the number an follow your instruction about selecting item 4 in the Sony phone menu system.
I got very kind an fast information about my downloaded and installed firmware on my PMW-EX1.
It is normal to see English , Chineese , Japaneese languages selection , so all is fine an i can relax.

Thank-you and thank-you also to Ian Cook who should post about this.

This bug is now fixed with the release by Sony of XDCAM BROWSER 1.2.1 there is a link here :

I just check the playback again : It take 8 seconds to play 40 seconds so clip play at X5 Speeds.
Trash the application and re-install it change nothing , XDCAM EX Clip browser 2.6 dont have this bug.
The lack of reply surprize me …. or i am alone with this bug … if not is this a bug … any help please guys.

I have do playback of a few clips with clip browser version 1.1 and they play at twice the speed But play at normal speed with xdcam ex clip browser 2.6, play also normally in xdcam transfer 2.12.

I have update my PMW-EX 1 Firmware from 1.11 to 1.20 today and that have not solve the bug at all.

XDCAM EX Clip Browser 2.6 and XDCAM Transfer 2.12 still work very well even with MAC OS X 10.6.5.

So it is a Sony XDCAM Browser 1.0 bugs and i am still waiting for a confirmation of the bug by Sony.

Thank-you Mr. Ian Cook sorry for the hard word about this release and Sony support.

This Sony software is so vital inside the XDCAM EX i hope a bug fix is soon to be release.

You must understand working with memory cards workflow required a reliable software.

Additional bug : Audio of clips appear to play too fast but play well in XDCAM EX Clip Browser 2.6.

Now just hope we will not get the usual Sony talk about the PMW-EX 1 is 3 years old so it is obsolete.

Also the mac os x snow leopard is one year old so let hope will not wait another 6 months guys.

I also try to play a BPAV imported by XDCAM Browser 1.0 in VLC and it play audio at normal speed.

I am sorry to have to report this here but how this have been able to escape Sony testing in lab …

I was ready to update to Snow Leopard when i see olof latest post but happy to have resist to do it ….

My thinking was it look too good , i will wait to see how it is possible …. patience sometime pay …

I scan the internet too to find the miracle done fast by Sony , unless my contact at Sony tell me first.
